Evaluation

During the last 12 or so weeks I believe that I have done well in this project this is because I was able to to do what was expected form me when it came to creating an advertising campaign for the target audience that I had picked to advertise to. By me creating this campaign it allows a lot of my audience to engage with the brands along with this I believe I have picked the correct platforms to advertise such as Instagram, Billboards and on Magazines

One of the first tasks were to complete 3 to 4 SWOT analysis and then picking a brand that I wished to rebrand. After finding out some of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats I decided that Primark would be the best brand for me too rebrand. I personally think this was the best brand to chose as they don’t advertise as much as other brands do, also I wanted to rebrand Primark to a have a wider target audience including people of the higher class as they don’t know the brand as they would know Ted Baker, Prada, Dior, Boss and so on. This would create an opportunity to make them well known in a new market and become more known. As Primark is commonly for having cheap prices this would be great for the higher class people as I would mean that they could get luxury products at a bettering affordable prices. Whilst planning for this task one of my ideas that I liked was advertising around a bag that I would make and I would advertise around the bag. 

For the project, I decided to pick Primark too rebrand, so that it could make more revenue by targeting the higher class people. The main thing that really stood out to me in this brief was that I would have to have a multiple target audiences. This is beneficial as the more the visibility the higher chance you have of a successful rebrand this would be because more people see it. My first advert is going to be on Instagram. By choosing to advertise on instagram found out 59% of internet users between the ages of 18 and 29 use Instagram and 33% of internet users between the ages of 30 and 49 use Instagram (The London School Of Economics And Political Science). By having an understanding of my target audience on Instagram, it shows that I need to target my adverts toward 18 to 29 year olds and/or 30 to 49 year olds. The second advert will be shown on a single magazine page. From my previous research I found out that 2.7 million people read the magazine, it was discovered that 2678 of them were teens over the age of 15 this is good as a lot of teens keep up with fashion and like to buy what’s trending. The second audience for Vogue is Women (Amy Watson, July 2021) this is also good as it can be the bag women buy for their boyfriends or husbands. The last idea is to advertise on billboards in areas like Richmond, Hammersmith, Brompton Road and Oxford Street. I chose these locations as its where a lot go wealthy people go shopping and it would be somewhere where they can see the billboards when walking around and driving form location to location. 

The part I enjoyed most about this project was creating the whole campaign and coming up with sketches for them. This is because, this where I get to image my ideas coming to like and I get to imagine how they would look like in the real world. As I like to keep up with luxury brands I get to see a lot of campaigns by different brands like Dior, Gucci, Coco Chanel and may others which gave me some inspiration when it coming up with ideas for this project. 

One thing I would have liked to work on was keeping up with the time. This is because I personally think that I was keep on falling behind with a lot of work. This could have been because of me taking on two different projects at the same time which caused me to focus on one less than the other or it could have been me being distracted a lot of the time. I believe to improve on this next time I should be planning my time out and choosing when to do what. 

To come to a conclusion, I think that I have nailed this project off rebranding that helps Primark target a higher class target audience. By having targeted different types of target audiences whilst focusing one one campaign it will help boost the visibility and sales of the brand.
